There's a class of problem that comes up constantly for small Australian businesses: your systems expect traffic from one place, but you or your team are somewhere else.

A supplier's portal blocks non-Australian IPs. A client's server has a firewall that only allows their office range. Today we're launching TYO Reach — a private internet gateway that routes your traffic through a secure exit node so your requests appear to come from a consistent, known location.

What Reach does

Reach sits between your browser (or application) and the internet. Instead of your request going directly to the destination, it passes through a TYO gateway — a server in a known location — before heading out. To the destination server, the traffic looks like it came from the gateway's IP, not yours.

It's not a VPN in the traditional sense. Reach is a secure internet gateway — it handles your web traffic selectively, rather than rerouting your entire connection. That makes it lighter, faster to set up, and easier to control — your traffic goes through it, everything else behaves normally.

Reach is for anyone who wants more control over how they appear online — and more privacy in how they browse:

How you access it

The Reach portal is the control centre — sign in with your TYO account, check your usage, manage your plan, and configure your organisation's settings.

On the desktop, the TYO Reach tray app (tyoreach) does the heavy lifting. Install it on Linux, Windows, or macOS, sign in once, and your browser traffic routes through Reach automatically. It sits in your system tray — start it, forget it.

Metered and honest

Reach runs on a usage-based model — you pay for the bandwidth you consume, not a flat monthly fee that assumes you're hammering it 24/7. If your usage is light, your bill is light.

When you approach your data limit, Reach tells you clearly — no silent failure, no mystery "connection refused" errors. You can top up in the portal and be back online in seconds.

TYO infrastructure, not a reseller

Reach is built and operated by TYO. The gateway network has nodes in the Asia-Pacific region, with more coming. Your account data, billing, and usage records are all managed through TYO systems — we're not a white-label of someone else's proxy service.
